Single Needle Lockstitch Adjustable Elastic Gathering Shirring Presser Foot - S537 1/4"

High shank elastic shirring and gathering foot with adjustable tension for industrial single needle industrial lockstitch sewing machines. The adjustable tension controls the amount of stretching of the elastic. You can also use this foot to attach tape or lace without stretching by completely reducing the tension.S357 ¼” (6.4mm)

How to use:
The spring loaded thumbscrew controls the amount of stretching of the elastic.
Turning the screw in clockwise increases the amount of stretching of the elastic.
Turning the adjustment screw out reduces the amount of stretching of the elastic.
If you turn the screw COMPLETELY out you can use this foot to attach Tape or Lace with NO stretching at all.
